While many individuals claim to be financial advisors, in reality they only sell investment products and earn commissions. In addition, representatives of large investment banks and/or insurance companies are not required to act as fiduciaries and as a result do not have a legal obligation to put their client’s interests above their own.

Financial Planning Office strongly believes this form of compensation structure is fraught with conflicts of interest because financial advisors may feel compelled to recommend an investment that earns a higher commission over one that is most suitable for the client.

We are fee-only.  We do not sell anything nor work on commissions.  Our only source of income is through our clients, and not from any investments we recommend for our clients.

Our clients can rest assured knowing that our recommendations are independent, based on sound investment research, and suitable for each client’s needs.
